Kyushu Sangyo University(KSU) is located close to "Kyusandai-mae (九産大前)" station of JR (Japan Railways) "Kagoshima Line (鹿児島線)". It takes about 1 minute on foot from the train station to the north gate(北門) of the university.
Take JR train of "Kagoshima Line (鹿児島線)" to JR "Kyusandai-mae (九産大前)" station.
The local trains(stop at each station: 普通) bound for “Fukuma(福間)”, “Ebitsu(海老津)”, “Kokura(小倉)”, ”Mojiko(門司港)” etc. stop at JR "Kyusandai-mae (九産大前)" station. The local trains may depart from Track No.1,2,3,or 4 of the JR Hakata station. The local trains operate every 20 minutes and it takes 15 minutes from JR Hakata station to JR " Kyusandai-mae (九産大前)" station. The ticket price is 280 yen. Do NOT take the rapid or regional rapid trains (skip some stations: 快速 or 区間快速), which go through JR “Kyusandai-mae (九産大前) station without stopping.
Take the subway to subway"Hakata (博多)" station. Then transfer to JR "Kagoshima Line(鹿児島線)" and take the train for JR "Kyusandai-mae (九産大前)" station.
Subway "Fukuokakuko (Airport: 福岡空港)" station is located immediately below the domestic terminal. From the international terminal, there is a free shuttle bus to the domestic terminal where you can transfer to the subway. The free shuttle buses operates every 5 minutes and it takes 15 minutes from the international terminal to the domestic terminal. All trains from subway "Fukuokakuko (Airport)" station go to subway "Hakata"station. The subway operates every 8 minutes it takes 5 minutes. The ticket price is 260 yen. JR "Hakata (博多)" station for JR "KagoshimaLine" is located just above subway "Hakata" station.
A large number of taxis operate 24 hours and can be found in many streets in the city. Outside stations and in other places with heavy pedestrian traffic, there are also taxi stands. An empty taxi can be spotted by a red sign behind the windscreen and to the driver's left, or at night when the rooftop sign is illuminated. Most of the taxis are "ko-gata (small: 小型)", but there are also "chu-gata (medium size: 中型)" and "o-gata (large: 大型)" size taxis, which are more expensive. The fare for a ko-gata taxi is 680 yen up to 1.6 km and for each additional 203 meters is increased by 50 yen. Between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., the fares are increased by 20%. It is not customary to tip the driver at the end of your journey.
The expected fare of "ko-gata" taxi from Fukuoka International Airport to the main gate ("正門") of KSU is approximately 4,000 yen. It takes 30 minutes(12 km). If you go via the urban expressway the expected fare becomes approximately 5,000 yen including toll fee and it takes 20 minutes.
